Given below are details on Tamil Nadu Ph.D. Admission 2017-18 Notification, its eligibility criteria, and requirements.

Eligibility:-

Post-graduate degree holders with at least 55% of marks (50% in the case of SC/ST Candidates) or equivalent CGPA in the concerned subject or in an allied subject or any other PG Degree recognized by University as equivalent thereto prescribed in eligibility criteria can apply for full-time M. Phil. / Ph.D. degree.

Educational Qualification:

One can apply for Ph.D. by getting the JRF scores in UGC NET, UGC CSIR NET, GATE, etc. For this applicant must have 55% aggregate marks in his/her master's degree. Qualifying marks may vary from institute to institute. Mostly for Ph.D. admissions, all universities demand 6.75 CGPA in M.Tech, M.E., M.D., M.A, and M.Sc. M.B.B.S.

Age Limit:

Applicant must be under 28 years of age. If a candidate applies to out of this way, then there is no age limit prescribed by the institutes.
